Attention: French, Latin, German and Spanish Students

Attention French, Latin, German and Spanish students:

We are getting reports of issues with completing assignments with username and password issues.  The issue seems to be that students are being asked for usernames and passwords after signing onto the system.

We are aware of the problem and are working on a solution.  MTDA is closed today so our offices do not have staff available for calls, however, if you are having additional issues, please contact Jason Neiffer, MTDA Curriculum Director, at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .

Thanks.  We apologize for this inconvenience!

UPDATE: 5:25pm, Monday, 16 January

We have received the following message from PowerSpeak:

"We are currently experiencing some technical difficulties that are causing overall problems for Powerspeak course users—on our PGLMS system. These problems may include difficulty logging in to student, teacher, or admin accounts; inability to make and save changes; and inability to access some or all course material. Our technical team is working to resolve these issues as soon as possible in order to restore functionality to our users.

We apologize for the inconvenience and will provide another update once we have confirmed that the issues have been resolved.

Thank you for your patience."

We don't have an ETA on a fix for this.  Obviously, the timing in this situation is really unfortunate.  We will be monitoring the situation throughout the night.

Thanks

UPDATE: 6:45pm, Monday, 16 January

We have reports from several teachers and students that their accounts are NOT impacted by this.  So, please do try to access your accounts and assignments normally.  If you are running into issues, please check back with here for updates.

UPDATE: 11:10pm, Monday, 16 January

We have received an email from the PowerSpeak technical support group:

"We have been able to solve most of the technical difficulties mentioned in the previous email. Users should now be able to successfully log in and remain logged into their accounts. We are still working to resolve the settings which are preventing students from moving ahead in their course material and this should be restored to default settings by tomorrow morning.

Once again we thank you for your patience and apologize for the inconvenience."

We will conduct test Tuesday morning to confirm, however, we believe that systems should be close to up and functioning.  Please try to log in proceed as normal.
